Concerned about a changing mole or skin spot?
Fast, non-invasive assessment with Dermasensor technology
At FSIM Health, we use advanced tools that help evaluate suspicious skin lesions thoughtfully and efficiently. Dermasensor is an FDA-cleared handheld device that provides additional information during your visit to help guide next steps.

What is Dermasensor?
Dermasensor is a non-invasive device that helps clinicians evaluate skin lesions that may appear unusual or concerning. Using light-based technology and artificial intelligence, the device analyzes tissue characteristics beneath the skin surface that cannot be seen with the naked eye alone.
Results are available within seconds during your visit, providing additional objective information that helps guide clinical decision-making.
Dermasensor is designed to assist in evaluating lesions that may be suggestive of:
👉 Melanoma
👉 Basal cell carcinoma
👉 Squamous cell carcinoma
Dermasensor is an additional tool that supports clinical judgment. It does not replace a full skin exam, biopsy when indicated, or referral to dermatology when appropriate.
Why patients appreciate this technology
✔️Fast in-office assessment
✔️Non-invasive technology
✔️No cutting or tissue removal during the scan
✔️Immediate information to guide next steps
✔️Helpful reassurance when lesions appear low risk
✔️Supports timely referral when further evaluation is needed

How the scan works
A concerning or changing skin lesion is identified during your exam.
The Dermasensor device is placed gently on the skin to scan the lesion.
The technology analyzes the tissue using spectroscopy and AI-supported algorithms.
Results are available within seconds, helping determine whether monitoring, referral, or biopsy should be considered.
The scan is quick and does not break the skin.

Who may benefit from Dermasensor evaluation
You may benefit from this assessment if you have:
• a new mole or skin lesion
• a spot that has changed in size, shape, or color
• a lesion that looks different from others on your skin
• a spot that bleeds, crusts, or does not heal
• personal or family history of skin cancer
• history of significant sun exposure
• uncertainty about whether a lesion should be evaluated
If something on your skin does not seem right, it is reasonable to have it examined.

Why early evaluation matters
Skin cancer is common, and early evaluation can make a meaningful difference.
Many skin lesions are benign, but some deserve prompt attention. Having access to in-office assessment tools allows more timely decisions and helps reduce unnecessary waiting.
If a lesion requires specialist care, earlier evaluation often leads to simpler treatment.
