Conditions We Treat:

Wrinkles and Skin Laxity as we age become more pronounced, a natural outcome of diminished elasticity and decreased oil production, exacerbated by sun exposure. This effect is particularly noticeable on the face and neck but may also affect other parts of the body. To combat these signs of aging, a combination of treatments, including Xeomin wrinkle relaxer alongside RF microneedling, sublative, and laser therapies, proves highly effective. Xeomin, akin to Botox, functions by blocking nerve signals to the muscles, causing them to relax and thereby smoothing out wrinkles and fine lines. RF Microneedling, RF Sublative, and Laser treatments are renowned for boosting collagen and firming the skin, yielding a more youthful appearance. For instance, the Gentle Pro Laser noninvasively gently warms the skin with rapid laser pulses, igniting collagen production from within, while the Matrix Pro RF employs heated needles at varying depths to tighten the skin and reduce wrinkles and scars. The Matrix Sublative RF, also a needle-free option, revitalizes the skin by generating fresh collagen through bipolar RF energy, resulting in smoother skin and minimizing facial wrinkles. When used in conjunction, Xeomin and these advanced therapies work synergistically, targeting different aspects of aging and maximizing the overall reduction of wrinkles and skin rejuvenation.

Hyperpigmentation appears as darkened patches or spots on the skin that make it appear uneven.  The most common causes of hyperpigmentation are sun exposure, skin inflammation (acne), Melasma, and other medical conditions.  The best treatments for diminishing the appearance of hyperpigmentation include chemical peels, dermaplaning, laser resurfacing treatments, and microneedling.

Rosacea is a condition that causes persistent redness on the skin, typically in the central part of the face.  Rosacea’s key symptoms are small visible blood vessels and swollen red bumps.  Common causes that trigger Rosacea include heat, stress, alcohol, and spicy foods.  The best way to treat and reduce the appearance of Rosacea are laser treatments.  The Gentle Pro Laser uses state-of-the-art technology which delivers short pulses of light energy to the skin.  The light pulses target and destroy problematic blood vessels, thereby eliminating the unwanted surface vein and vascular lesion.

Melasma is a condition in which brown patches appear on the skin.  Melasma typically comes from hormonal changes such as pregnancy and sun exposure.  The areas of the face where melasma is commonly found are the forehead, cheeks, upper lip, nose, and chin.  The best treatment for melasma is skin-lightening creams and some laser treatments.

Acne is caused by tiny holes in the skin that become clogged with bacteria, oil, and dead skin.  Swollen, red lesions filled with pus, also known as pustules or pimples, develop when the oil glands become clogged and infected.  Some of the best products to use to help fight acne are Retinol, Benzyl Peroxide, and Salicylic Acid. The best treatments to eliminate bacteria and clear the skin include chemical peels, dermaplaning, and laser treatments.

Hirsutism is the excessive growth of thick, dark hair on unexpected parts of the body, such as the face, chest, and back.  The best treatment to eliminate unwanted hair is laser treatment for hair removal.  Gentle Pro Lasers work by selectively targeting the hair follicle with powerful pulses of light energy for thermal destruction.  This laser provides epidermal protection by using a cooling system that sprays the skin before each laser pulse with a liquid coolant.  This cooling system will make sure the procedure is as comfortable as possible.  Because the hair grows in stages, multiple treatments are required to deliver permanent hair reduction.  The number of treatments needed will be determined by the provider.

Spider Veins and Cherry Angioma are superficial blood vessels that appear through the skin.  They may be red, purple, or blue and most commonly appear on the legs, chest, and face.  The best treatment to eliminate the veins are laser treatment.  The Gentle Pro delivers short pulses of light energy to the skin.  The light pulses target and destroy problematic blood vessels, eliminating the unwanted surface vein.  The number of sessions required varies from patient to patient. However, many varicose veins will clear after just one treatment.

Lentigos (brown spots) are caused by exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun.  UV radiation causes pigmented cells in the skin to multiply.  Typically, skin-lightening agents will help slightly fade the brown spots but will not remove them permanently.  Light-based laser treatments are typically the best way to remove unwanted Lentigos permanently, along with the proper sunscreen and minimal sun exposure.  The light energy absorbs the melanin in the skin by the concentration of pigment, which forms the unwanted lesion.  The selective delivery of laser energy destroys the excess pigment by bringing it to the surface of the skin, resulting in the lesion flaking off.  The number of treatment sessions varies from patient to patient, but typically 2-4 sessions are needed.

Onychomycosis is a fungal infection of the nailbed bed. It can affect all the nails of individuals of any age and sex. These fungi are generally confined to the dead, horny outer layers of the skin and gradually progress to involve the nail plate. These fungi are hard to treat because they live in dead tissue, and getting medications to penetrate these sites is problematic. Symptoms may include broken nails, brown nails, crumbling/flaking nails, and deformed or curved nails. It can cause difficulty with exercising, standing, and walking, as well as some pain. Laser therapy allows for a non-medication therapy to cure the infection. The Gentle Pro Laser uses laser pulses to heat and destroy the fungal organisms, minimally affecting the surrounding tissue for best results. The number of treatments required on a patient’s health status, the severity of the disease, and ongoing exposure occur between treatments, but typically, three treatments are recommended approximately one month apart for best results.
